Cash’s Story

I lost my sweet Cash at 3 days old in September of 2015. My husband almost lost us both the day he was born and he says he would never get that day out of his head or the thought of the unthinkable happening. We went in for a doctor’s appointment that happened to be at the hospital and as we were leaving I had a placental abruption. I was rushed by 2 nurses (to me, Angels) across the hospital where my son was delivered via emergency c-section. When I woke up I finally got to meet him and he was perfect! He had my nose and his Daddy’s long fingers and toes. He weighed right over a pound and was just over 10 inches long. Our placenta problems we already knew about had cause growth restriction so he was very small. He fought so hard for those 3 days, but was tired and was ready to go home. We said our goodbyes and have never recovered. His baby brother, Maverick  was born at 34 weeks and 5 days. He is beautiful and thriving now at almost a month old already!
