A Min Pin Birthday

Yesterday was a special day. Our min pin had a birthday and it was a big one. He turned 8 years old, which in dog years is impressive considering how many near death experiences this little guy has had. In younger years his curiousness would get the better of him and when a door was open he would dash out of it and keep running and running. I remember one particular time him jogging down a very busy road by my sisters house unaware that he was in danger. I sobbed even after picking him up and holding him in my arms. This little guy has been my buddy for awhile now and when things get tough he’s always there for me. He has a sweet little spirit and knows when things are tough. I’ve received multiple loves and kisses from him and honestly don’t know what I would do without him in my life. Let me just be clear that in the 8 years that Pistol has been with me I have never celebrated his birthday but this year was different. Having gone through the horrible experience of losing our daughter I know that life is precious and that it should be celebrated. And that’s exactly what we did. Pup cakes and all ☺️  If you want to try your hand at pupcakes here is the recipe I used here!

Pistol was so excited for his pupcakes. We blew the candle out for him 🙂
I cut some treats in half and put them on the top. He didn’t want to open his present because he was to distracted and wanted more pupcakes!

    1. He’s a spoiled one and has another birthday coming up again next month I can’t believe it’s almost been another year. Animals are the best especially in times of grief such special little souls 😊
